On the campaign trail, Mr. Trump said that Americans' inability to afford groceries would be a thing of the past. He promised on “Day One” to bring down inflation, including the price of gas and eggs.
Millions drank the Kook-Aid and believed him. They wished it to be true, that the red-hatted snake-oil salesman could save them. As PT Barnum said, "A sucker is born every minute,” and Donald Trump found 70-odd million of them.
And now, all those people crying and whining, we did our best to warn you. But the blind followers would not believe any of us. Here is what we have got...
GASOLINE – As of 20 February 2025
Since January 1, 2025, gasoline has increased $0.12 per gallon from $3.03 to $3.15 per gallon (Feb. 20, 2025)
EGGS - As of 20 February 2025
Since January 2025, eggs have shot up from $4.15 to $6.36 per dozen (53.3% increase)
CONCLUSION
It's just another of Mr. Trump’s lies, which will worsen with his upcoming tariffs.
